The Problem

Michael Leberknight Saavedra needed one real home for his healing and coaching practice, one that could hold his music and podcast work, list his sessions and pricing clearly, promote live events, and carry testimonials, without looking like a template.

What I Built

  • Full editorial site across nine pages: Home, Sessions, About, Events, Music, Testimonials, Training, Giving Back, and Contact, built on a custom design system (dark ambient glass panels, Cinzel/Outfit typography, soft glow and glassmorphism) rather than a theme.
  • Sessions page with a segmented tab layout (In Person / Online / Pricing & Details), practitioner photos, and a structured pricing grid instead of a wall of text.
  • Music page with video, podcast, and Spotify embeds.
  • Events page built to carry live, dated listings, with a Kauai retreat running as the first real event.
  • Testimonial carousel and a dedicated Giving Back page for his community water-well project work.
  • Gift-box-styled newsletter signup section on the homepage.
  • Contact form and mailing list signup both wired to real delivery through a Telegram bot instead of waiting on Michael to get an inbox set up: every submission is saved to Cloudflare KV storage and instantly messaged straight to his phone with the enquiry's name, email, interest, and message, so nothing sits unread.
  • Both endpoints are rate-limited per visitor and check a honeypot field to filter out bot spam before anything reaches Michael or gets stored.
  • A secret-key-gated export endpoint pulls every subscriber and every message as CSV or JSON on demand, so nothing is locked inside Telegram if he ever wants the full list.
  • Deployed as a static Astro build on Cloudflare Pages, auto-rebuilding on every push to main.

How It Works

Static Astro site on Cloudflare Pages. The contact and newsletter forms post to Cloudflare Pages Functions, which write the submission into KV storage and fire a Telegram message to Michael in the same request, so he gets a real-time alert on his phone the moment someone reaches out, no inbox required. The bot can notify more than one person if he ever wants someone else looped in, and everything collected is pullable later as CSV through a key-protected export endpoint.

Results

Live at michaelleberknight.com: branded presence, a real session and pricing menu, a music and podcast hub, event promotion, and a contact and newsletter pipeline that reaches Michael instantly on Telegram instead of sitting in an inbox he was not checking.
